FasterEFT: Explains Why Minding Your Own Business is Healthier

“Mind your own business!” This is a phrase many of us heard, growing up. A phrase that meant stop interfering or being “nosey”. However, it can be excellent advice if you interpret it slightly differently! When things are going on around us, it’s natural for us, as humans, to take an interest. In fact, not only take an interest, but have an opinion (and possibly express it) and perhaps get involved.
This can be beneficial in certain circumstances, and detrimental in others. The key is in how you’re feeling when you form your opinion, express it, and take action.
Becoming aware of how you’re feeling in the moment is one of the most powerful skills you can develop since it will give you the clues to what you need to make changes to in yourself that will create the transformations outside of yourself that you wish to see.

What About Caring for Others?

Minding your own business does not mean not caring for others. It does not mean being selfish or self-absorbed, and it does not mean not helping others. It means making sure you are doing these things from a place of empowerment rather than from a victim mentality.
In other words, when you become aware of something going on around you, before you react or respond, take notice of how you’re feeling inside yourself. Then, clear the negative feelings first, before you decide whether or not to act; and if so, what action to take.

Why Should you Mind Your Own Business?

The reason for looking inside yourself first, cleaning up your own stuff, and making sure you are in a positive state before you take any action with anything or anyone outside of you is because while you are triggered by something you are compromised.
Your faculties, cognitive thinking, communication skills, problem-solving skills, ability to see opportunities, judgement, and so much else are all hindered while you are feeling negative emotions.
Every negative emotion is a stress fight or flight state — to some degree. And during the fight or flight state, the body and brain go into emergency mode — shutting down or reducing systems that are not needed for immediate survival through running away or fighting.
This includes the part of your brain that is responsible for cognitive thinking. Once you are able to clear your stress reaction, that part of your brain will come back online fully again, and you will be able to perform far more effectively, being of more use to those who need you.
You will be able to judge situations and circumstances more effectively, make wiser decisions, communicate more effectively, and solve problems more easily.

How to Mind Your Own Business

The first step to improving your own life is to make the decision to become more aware of how you’re feeling and reacting in the moment. When you find yourself reacting to something in a negative way — whether you’re feeling angry, irritated, frightened, resentful, sad, or any other negative emotion — choose to stop in that moment, and use FasterEFT to clear whatever it is inside you that is causing that reaction.
Remember, it is not what’s “out there” that is causing you to feel the way you are feeling; it is the records you hold inside you that are prompting the reaction. For more information on how this works, read: The REAL Cause of All Your Problems and How to Change Your Reality.
Take a moment to think about what you feel most strongly about — what really makes you angry, scared, sad, or any other negative emotion? Think about when in the past you’ve felt that feeling — what’s your earliest orstrongest memory of feeling that same feeling?
It may not have anything to do with the same subject matter, but still have the same feeling. Now, use the FasterEFT Technique to clear and flip that memory. Keep going through the process until you havecleared all negative emotions, thoughts and other representations of what bothers you, and you have completely flipped the memory.
