Bob Proctor is one of the leading experts on the topic of the Law of Attraction and the power of the mind. I first came across his work in the movie, “The Secret”, and have enjoyed hearing his explanations and teachings over the years. One particular explanation stood out for me since it made perfect logical sense at the time; and he did an excellent job of the presentation*.
As I’ve learned more about how the brain and body work, I found that this presentation makes scientific sense as well. And, now that I know what I’ve learned from Robert Smith, about the mind and FasterEFT — it is a perfect match!

Cybernetics and Paradigms
As Bob Proctor explains (based on Maxwell Maltz’s book: Psycho-Cybernetics) we each have a cybernetics system running. Just like a thermostat on an air-conditioning unit, or an autopilot in an airplane, the subconscious is designed to self-correct.
In the case of a heating or cooling system, the thermostat will detect when the temperature is lower or higher than the setting, and it will then correct it.
The autopilot system of an airplane will constantly detect and correct the course of the craft. To change the temperature of the room, you would need to change the setting on the thermostat.
To change the destination of the flight, you would need to change the coordinates in the autopilot. And to change the results you’re experiencing in your life, you need to change the data in your subconscious.
The Original Data
Although Bob Proctor explains that self-image is the human cybernetics system, and how it applies to daily life, what isn’t covered is the original cause. Self-image is actually the symptom — the result — not the original data or programming.
Self-image relies on the structure provided by memories. For more detail on this, read:The REAL Cause of All Your Problemsand What Determines Your Character and Personality. From birth, the subconscious is recording its interpretation of every experience, and building the foundation of reality.
It is this information that results in self-image, as well as all other “truths”. Attempting to change the self-image without changing the original data is like trying to change the color of your hair using food coloring. It may look different for a while, but it won’t be very convincing, and it certainly won’t last.
The Original Data vs The Results
As Bob Proctor points out, changing the self-image results in an automatic and natural change in behaviors, choices and results. For example: If someone carries the data in their self-image that they are unable to earn more than $20,000 per year, their subconscious will be constantly keeping them on track towards that goal. If they happen to earn more one month, something will happen to bring them back into alignment.
They may get ill; they may forget important information or appointments; or they may find they misjudge or make errors. The subconscious will prompt the brain to trigger the organs to produce chemicals that cause sensations and impulses. And the conscious mind will make decisions and take actions based on these impulses and sensations.
In order to change that self-image, you need to change the “evidence” the subconscious is referring to that proves that self-image is correct. In other words, a person whose self-image includes being unworthy of love has to haveevidence in his subconscious that proves this “fact”.
He will have had certain experiences throughout his life that, compounded by being filtered through previous experiences, his subconscious interpreted to mean that he is unworthy of love. In order to change that “fact” the evidence needs to be changed. This means changing those memories. By doing this, the results will be automatic and natural since the subconscious will now be referring to new “evidence”. This new evidence will prove that he is indeed loveable and worthy.
How to Change That Data
Changing choices and behaviors by repetition and willpower is the long-way around, and the hardest way. The fastest, easiest and most effective way to change that original data isto work with the subconscious to change what it already holds.
Using FasterEFT you can change those original records — that “evidence” that provides the structure for your problems. The automatic result will be a natural transformation. Just like entering new coordinates into an autopilot, or changing the setting on a thermostat, FasterEFT helps you to change the data held in your subconscious, giving you the results you want — naturally and automatically.
