You are Not a Product of Your Past

You are a Product of What You Carry from Your Past

It is not what we have experienced in the past that shapes us; it is what we hold from that past. You are not a product of your past. Different people experience the same events; but their subconscious interprets them differently — based on what it already holds. It is this interpretation that is providing the basis for who you are, and what you continue to experience.
The problems you have today did not start today. They are metaphoric representations of what you’ve experienced in the past. And while you cannot change the past itself, you CAN change how you represent it. It is this representation that is causing your current experiences.
Whatever challenges you are experiencing right now — whether they are physical ailments, bad habits, emotional trauma, relationship issues, financial struggles, psychological problems, and anything else — they are caused by the representation of your past that is held in your subconscious.

Why You’re Unaware of it

We are, for the most part, completely oblivious to the way our past is represented in our subconscious. The reason for this is that the subconscious works by prompting the brain to trigger certain physiological processes in the body.
These processes create sensations; and these sensations are then interpreted by the conscious mind.
The conscious mind uses logic and reason to give meaning to the various sensations — and you make decisions based on these meanings.

Unreasonable and Subtle

Since the subconscious does not have the ability to use logic or reason, the programming it is working from does not necessarily have any logic or reason behind it.
The sensations caused by the physiological processes prompted by the subconscious are often very subtle — so subtle, in fact, that they are not recognized individually.
If you start paying attention to how you are physically feeling in any given moment — particularly when you are making a decision, you will notice that there are very subtle feelings in your body you weren’t aware of before.

How to Change the Effects of Your Past

Although you can’t go back and make changes to the past, you can make changes to the data held in your subconscious — the information that your subconscious is referring to as it prompts your brain to trigger thosephysiological processes in your body.
Take a moment to think about whatever it is that is bothering you most at the moment.Notice how you feel when you think about it; then, follow the steps in: The FasterEFT Technique — Step-by-Step until you have completelyflipped the memory or issue.
